University and College YouTube Channels

Yesterday I posted a link to the Ohio State University's YouTube channel page - see this posting:

I know there are some other good examples as well. I'll start posting them here when I find them. Please rely to this post and list any that you've seen as well, along with any commentary.
If you post the link into this, it will automatically become a hyperlink. No coding neccessary.

Well since I posted Ohio State's YouTube channel, I thought I would take a quick look at their arch-rival's, Michigan, and see if their channel was noteworthy. The channel for the Ann Arbor campus's really wasn't, but you can see it here:

The Flint and Dearborn Campuses both have larger efforts though:

http://www.youtube.com/user/umflint1
Note the "1" after the Flint URL. I wonder if this is because the umflint extension was taken? I searched for that version, but it just says that it was closed. Not sure what is going on there, but it does bring up another point. Even if you don't plan to launch a full-fledged YouTube channel right now, you should at least claim your space for the future. I'm not sure if there are cyber squatters on YouTube (people that claim urls and then try to sell them to you), as was the case with domains since early in the Internet days. But, you probably at least run the risk of an over zealous alumni or student claiming the extension for themselves.
I put aside a YouTube Channel for Adaptive Campus some time ago:

As you can see, you don't have to have much up. I doubt there are many people looking for our channel though. If this were for a university or college, I would at least post some basic information and indicate that there is more to come in the future, with a couple links to places for people to sign up for email notifications about when the effort is launched (along with other efforts about the school). I would even add multiple links, for example, seperate ones for alumni and prospective students, each going to pages maintained by the departments that govern those groups.
